Our Offer
Our state-approved school in the heart of Zurich offers a high school (Gymnasium) and a preparatory high school (Progymnasium) for secondary school students. Our educational programs are flexible and accessible, depending on the individual educational pathway. Students can join our Progymnasium without an entrance exam after completing 6th grade primary school, preparing specifically for admission to a public high school in Zurich (state-run Gymnasium). This transition is possible after the 2nd or 3rd level of Progymnasium.

Alternatively, students can join Aurum School after completing the 1st or 2nd year of secondary school level A. In such cases, the preparation time for entry into a public high school is shortened accordingly. It is also possible to join our school mid-year, provided the student’s aptitude and interests align with our program.

Our privately run, family-oriented high school is open to students after the 3rd year of secondary school who value personal guidance and individual coaching. We provide careful and systematic preparation for the Swiss Matura examination, which guarantees eligibility for university studies in Switzerland upon successful completion.

Our School
The Aurum School community comprises approximately 150 students and a team of over 30 dedicated teachers. A typical class at Aurum School consists of 14 to 18 students. Lessons are taught according to the official syllabuses and curricula: at the Progynasium level it adheres to the curriculum Lehrplan 21 and at the Gymnasium level according to the requirements of the Examination Regulations of the Swiss Matura Commission (SMK)

Aurum School is a day school. Its operational hours are Mondays to Fridays from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM (except Wednesday afternoons and during school holidays).
