About Four Forest
Founded in 2007, Four Forest Bilingual International School offers a high-quality bilingual education for children aged 3 to 15 years. With campuses located in Zug and Lucerne, the schools combine the Swiss Curriculum 21 with elements of the British National Curriculum for English, providing students with strong academic foundations and fluency in both German and English.
Our immersive bilingual approach alternates weekly between German and English, with native-speaking teachers guiding instruction in their respective language weeks. This structure fosters natural language acquisition, cognitive flexibility, and deep cultural understanding.
Four Forest is built on the core values of community, curiosity, and integrity, creating a nurturing and academically stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to grow with confidence and respect.
Academic Programme
Primary School (Ages 3–12)
• Preschool & 1st Kindergarten (Ages 3–5): A warm, play-based bilingual programme alternating between German and English days to support early language development through play, singing, and social interaction.
• 2nd Kindergarten – Grade 6 (Ages 5–12): Weekly bilingual immersion combining Swiss Curriculum 21 with English instruction from the British National Curriculum, ensuring steady progress in both languages and across key academic areas.
Secondary School (Ages 12–15)
• Secondary 1–3 (Grades 7–9): A curriculum rooted in Swiss Curriculum 21, with selected subjects taught in English. Students build academic and life skills that prepare them for Gymnasium, apprenticeships, or other post-primary pathways. Individualised attention and small class sizes ensure that every learner receives tailored guidance and support.
Extra-Curricular Programme
At Four Forest, learning extends far beyond the classroom.
Our diverse Extra-Curricular and After-School Programme encourages creativity, collaboration, and personal growth through activities such as:
• Robotics and coding projects
• Drama and performing arts
• Music lessons (e.g., piano, voice, instruments)
• Art and design
• Ball sports and athletics
• Language enrichment and Homework Club
Throughout the year, students also participate in sports days, ski trips, and cultural celebrations, fostering friendships across age groups and strengthening our strong sense of community.
Full-Day Care and Family Support
Four Forest offers structured full-day care to support working families, with flexible supervision options and engaging after-school clubs.
Parents appreciate the schools’ warm, inclusive atmosphere, where communication is open and every child is known by name.
Safety and Wellbeing
The safety and wellbeing of our students are our highest priorities.
Four Forest follows clear, comprehensive health and safeguarding policies, including child protection protocols, staff training, and transparent procedures for data protection and complaints.
Parents have access to up-to-date information through our published School Policies, ensuring accountability and trust.
Community and International Outlook
Four Forest serves both Swiss-German and international families — approximately 40% Swiss-German and 60% international, with around 51% native German speakers.
Students benefit from a diverse environment that combines local educational excellence with a global perspective, helping them develop the skills and mindset needed for the future.
