About ISZN
The International School Zurich North (ISZN) is a vibrant learning community located just two train stops from Zurich’s main station. We offer a continuous educational journey from Nursery through A Levels, combining academic excellence with a warm, inclusive atmosphere.

Our approach is grounded in kindness, respect, and resilience – values that shape how we learn, teach, and grow together. Students are encouraged to think independently, collaborate confidently, and engage actively with the world around them.

Curriculum and Learning Pathway
ISZN offers a British Curriculum pathway that prepares students for success at top global universities while nurturing curiosity and confidence.
• Early Years (3 months – Kindergarten 1): Dual Language English–German foundation with immersive, play-based learning.
• Primary School (Kindergarten 2 – Grade 5): British National Curriculum with a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, and inquiry-based learning.
• Secondary School (Grades 6–12): Cambridge Lower Secondary, IGCSEs, and A Levels, ensuring international recognition and academic rigour.
Our small class sizes and individualised approach ensure that every student is known, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Beyond the Classroom
Learning at ISZN extends beyond the classroom through a varied Co-Curricular Programme (CCA) that promotes creativity, teamwork, and personal growth. Highlights include:
• Award-winning basketball and competitive football teams
• Performing arts and drama productions
• LEGO robotics and coding clubs
• Music, art, and language enrichment activities
• Participation in The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award

Student Life and Well-being
At ISZN, well-being is central to daily life. We foster a caring, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, supported, and confident to explore their potential. Social–emotional learning, mindfulness, and community engagement are embedded in our approach to education.

Care and Community
Families value ISZN’s personal approach and full-day care structure, with on-site supervision from 07:30 to 18:00 and a 50-week Nursery programme supporting working parents.
Our close-knit, international community builds lasting connections between teachers, families, and students – ensuring that every child matters.

Global Standards and Accreditation
ISZN is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and is a member of the Swiss Group of International Schools (SGIS). The school is also an approved examination centre for Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge International, ensuring recognised academic quality and pathways to leading universities worldwide.
