naturspielwald
The forest school of naturspielwald includes a kindergarten section (1st/2nd year of kindergarten) and a primary section (1st/2nd year of primary school), which corresponds to the 1st cycle according to curriculum 21. It operates in accordance with the curriculum of the Canton of Aargau and has been recognized since 2008 as a state-approved private school by the Aargau Department of Education, Culture and Sport. The maximum number of children per section is 16. Teaching always takes place in the forest, even in cold and wet weather. The only exceptions: four lessons per week, the primary school children work in the classroom in Münzlishausen. In addition, in case of storms and thunderstorms, both sections retreat indoors for safety reasons.
The forest school is based on the principle that personal experience arouses curiosity and that one grows through one's own curiosity. Discovering, lingering, exploring, describing - moments when time seems to stand still and learning takes place imperceptibly and sustainably. Such experiences strengthen the child's learning competence and give them the confidence to tackle complex topics of all kinds. The lively everyday environment provides an inexhaustible fund for this.
Playing and learning in a mixed-age group is of great importance in the forest school. Consequently, interdepartmental sequences are an integral part of everyday school life and enable children to experience diversity in everyday life, learn from older children, assume a role model function and reflect on their own learning processes.
